Sometimes federal funds received through the Airport Improvement Program go far beyond improvements to existing facilities. The FAA has announced a $27 million Improvement Program grant to the City of Williston, North Dakota to purchase land to build a completely new airport and meet growing aviation demand by replacing Sloulin Field International Airport. Moonspike Looking To Raise Nearly $1 Million To Build A Rocket

"We're building a Moon Rocket", the Kickstarter page begins. And not a little rocket either. Moonspike says it plans to build "a full scale Moon rocket, that will fly into the heavens at around 12km/s and then launch a tiny spacecraft on a 400,000km (approx. 250,000 miles) one-way journey to the Moon."
