SpaceShipOne Took The X Prize Five Years Ago This Week
On October 4, 2009, the X PRIZE Foundation celebrated the fifth
anniversary of the largest prize in history, the $10 Million Ansari
X PRIZE - won by the Mojave Aerospace Ventures team for the
historic flights of SpaceShipOne.
NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope has discovered an enormous ring
around Saturn -- by far the largest of the giant planet's many
rings. The new belt lies at the far reaches of the Saturnian
system, with an orbit tilted 27 degrees from the main ring
plane.
