Priorities For The Helicopter Industry Are Safety, Career Awareness
AirVenture 2012 is the second year that the HAI Heli-Center has been center-stage along the flightline. Daily forums on Helicopter Safety, Careers and Innovations are being presented to bring awareness to the general aviation community of the opportunities for employment in the helicopter industry and to collaborate with the fixed wing side of aviation on common issues and concerns.
During a news briefing at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh Tuesday, Daher-Socata announced FAA certification of the new seating and cabin configuration on its latest fast turboprop aircraft version, the TBM 850 Elite. The Model Year 2012 TBM 850 Elite offers a unique capability in tailoring the passenger cabin to meet operators’ needs.
Cessna is at Oshkosh, but much of the company's focus is on the its big airplanes rather than the piston singles. On Monday, they announced the Cessna Grand Caravan EX, with increased horsepower (HP) which improves the aircraft's performance in current mission profiles and allows for missions to extend into regions of the world with higher altitudes and higher temperatures.
