Malaysia's MEASAT Latest 'Small Satellite' Customer

MEASAT Satellite Systems of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has signed a contract to purchase one geosynchronous communications satellite from Orbital Sciences Corporation. The satellite -- based on Orbital's STAR satellite platform -- will be called MEASAT-1R and is scheduled to be launched over Southeast Asia in September 2007.

SpaceX Says All Systems Go For Friday Falcon 1 Launch

Will Haul DARPA/USAFA Satellite Into Orbit

Space Exploration Technologies Group, or SpaceX, announced Monday the company plans to launch its Falcon 1 semi-reusable, liquid-fueled rocket on its maiden voyage Friday, November 25. The flight is scheduled to liftoff at 1 pm Pacific Time from the Kwajalein Atoll of the Marshall Islands.
