Prime Contractor Lockheed Martin Fuses The Two Halves Of The
Crew Module
The Orion crew exploration vehicle took shape as the two halves
of the crew module were fused together at NASA's Michoud Assembly
Facility in New Orleans, LA Tuesday.
Erik Lindbergh, grandson of Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh,
is a commercial pilot and certified flight instructor, an artist
and a speaker. He serves on a number of Non-Profit boards including
the Lindbergh Foundation, The XPRIZE Foundation and the Aviation
High School in Seattle.
Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) and the National Space
Organization (NSPO) have signed contract for the launch of NSPO's
Earth Observation Satellite, Formosat-5.
Just days after Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) said NASA
administrator Charles Bolden was skirting the law to
effectively kill the Constellation program, the agency has
appointed two new managers to oversee the effort.
