CAE Enhances ATC Training With CAE Ridge

Immersive 3D Visualization Tool Accelerates Learning, Improves Decision-Making

CAE announced at Airspace Asia Pacific 2025 it is expanding the use of its proven, advanced 3D visualization technology, CAE Ridge, to its Air Traffic Services training program. CAE Ridge leverages immersive and collaborative scenarios that accelerate learning and improve operational decision-making to enhance the training of air traffic control professionals.

CAE Ridge is a commercial, off-the-shelf solution already being used by CAE Defense & Security for military applications. With this expansion, CAE adds civil training to its Air Traffic Services training portfolio. The innovative, digitally-powered training tools reduce time to licensing, bolster operational readiness, and support the long-term goals of Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and Air Traffic Organizations (ATOs).

Emmanuel Levitte, Chief Technology Officer for CAE said, “CAE RidgeTM represents a meaningful advancement in preparing tomorrow’s air traffic controllers. By introducing immersive 3D visualization early in the training process, we help build confidence, competencies and situational awareness faster, increasing the effectiveness of training programs, driving toward an optimal time to licensing.”

Marie-Christine Cloutier, Vice President of Strategy, Business Performance & Marketing for CAE added, “Our goal is to help ANSPs and training organizations adapt to a rapidly evolving operational landscape. CAE RidgeTM exemplifies the potential of dual-use technologies, and demonstrates how we can combine decades of simulation expertise and immersive synthetic environments to deliver scalable, commercially accessible tools that empower both instructors and learners.”

CAE Ridge supports pre-simulator preparation, debriefs, procedure rehearsals, scenario development and more. From the classroom to remote sessions or briefings, CAE Ridge provides organizations with a tool to train effectively, respond to change with improved agility, and maintain high safety and performance standards.
