IDIQ Deal For Aggressor Fleet Fighter Jet Services

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company, a unit of Textron Systems, announced it has received a $555 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps for training support under the Fleet Fighter Jet Services program, providing high subsonic and supersonic contractor-operated aircraft in simulated airborne threat scenarios for Navy and Marine Corps aviators.

The contract is for ATAC to operate Mirage F1, F-21 Kfir, and Mk. 58 Hawker Hunter jets in simulated threats such as electronic combat environments and aggressor roles in adversarial air exercises. ATAC will provide approximately 6,500-7,000 flight hours per year between 2025 and 2030 up to the contract ceiling of $554.5 million.

ATAC’s flight team consists of highly decorated U.S. military veterans and seasoned civilians who will provide the training. Such fighter jet services preserve the service life of operational F/A-18 and EA-18 aircraft as well as support squadron training and shipboard operators.

The Navy FJS contract has been ATAC’s bread and butter business for over twenty years, and responsiveness to the demands of customers has been a big part of that. In 2024 alone, ATAC executed 82 deployments to 16 detachment locations, 3,189 man-days deployed, a record number of both Hunter sorties/hours as well as supersonic hours by Kfir and F1 aircraft.
