2027 Deliveries Will Bring Total To 35 New Skyhawks

Textron Aviation announced that Infinity Flight Group has signed a purchase agreement to acquire 10 new Cessna 172 Skyhawks for 2027 delivery. That will increase Infinity’s Cessna fleet to a total of 35 new Skyhawks over the past three years to significantly increase its capacity to train new pilots.

Infinity is a Cessna Pilot Center with bases at Trenton-Mercer Airport (KTTN) in New Jersey and Treasure Coast International Airport (KFPR) in Fort Pierce, Florida. The school operates a total of 65 Cessna Skyhawks at the two facilities.

The high-wing piston trainer is a best-selling aircraft with a good reputation for ease of use, reliability, and versatility over the years. It is one of the favorites of flight schools as well as experienced pilots.

The new aircraft purchased by Infinity will have the new feature announced by Cessna: a dual electronic ignition system, or dual EIS, that will enhance the efficiency of operation and maintenance of the aircraft.

Cessna is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the venerable 172 Skyhawk this year as it continues to invest innovations to reinforce the aircraft’s enduring design and capabilities ever since its first flight in 1955.

The Cessna 172 Skyhawk remains the most popular single-engine aircraft in aviation history and an aircraft of choice for pilot training. More than 45,000 Skyhawks have been delivered to customers across the globe, more than any other aircraft in the industry.

The Skyhawk features the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite with wireless connectivity, a standard angle-of-attack display, and a McCauley aluminum fixed-pitch propeller.
