Archer Midnight To Fly At Cali Int'l Air Show

Salinas Airport To See Public Flights Of All-Electric Aircraft

Archer Aviation announced it will be conducting public flights of the all-electric Midnight aircraft at the 2025 California International Air Show at the Salinas Municipal Airport (KSNS) in California, on October 4-5, 2025.

Salinas Muni is the site of Archer’s test flight facility where it has been flying its eVTOL aircraft the past 4 years.

About 1,000 Archer employees will be in attendance including from its engineering, operations, and flight test teams. Fans, followers, enthusiasts, and newcomers alike will be able to engage with team members and celebrate the hometown demo flights.

The California International Air Show is anticipating more than 65,000 guests, and will mark the first time the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will appear in the show since 2019.

The Midnight is scheduled to fly both days as one of the earlier flight segments, followed by the Blue Angels, the U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demo team, and more.

Archer has been conducting a series of aircraft performance flight tests with Midnight and has made significant progress. Recently, it completed two flights reaching altitudes of 7,000 and 10,000 feet. And before that, Midnight completed its longest piloted flight of 55 miles in about a half hour.

The Midnight is designed as a piloted aircraft carrying four passengers to perform rapid consecutive trips with minimal charge time between flights. The aircraft has the potential to replace car commutes of 60-90 minutes with 10-20-minute electric air taxi flights that are safe, sustainable, low noise, and competitive economically with ground transportation.
