Three Businessmen, Engineer, Adventurer To Fly In Space

Blue Origin announced the crew who will fly on New Shepard’s NS-36 mission. They are Jeff Elgin, Danna Karagussova, Dr. Clint Kelly III on his second flight, Aaron Newman, Vitalii Ostrovsky, and a sixth person who wishes to remain anonymous until the flight is concluded.

NS-36 will be the 15th human space flight for the New Shepard program and its 36th overall. So far, Blue Origin’s New Shepard flight program has flown 75 humans and over 200 scientific payloads for students, NASA, research institutions, and commercial companies above the Karman line, where the Earth’s atmosphere ends and space begins. Though not all agree, it is generally accepted to be about 90-100 km (60-62 mi) above sea level.

The launch date will be announced soon, and once again the live webcast on Blue Origin’s website will begin at T-30 minutes.

Jeff Elgin:  Executive in the franchise industry, has grown his FranChoice into a resource that has helped over half a million people pursue their dreams of business ownership.

Danna Karagussova:  Experienced creator in media, distribution, and events. Lifelong adventurer and mountaineer who has summited Mt. Kilimanjaro and  mt. Elbrus, and now wants to expand her experiences to space.

Dr. Clint Kelly III:  Electrical engineer with PhD from the University of Michigan, led government and industry in computer science and robotics. Has conducted space-sensing research for national security, funds university rocket teams, and has photographed wildlife on every continent on Earth along with his wife. He first flew to space on the NS-22 in August 2022.

Aaron Newman:  Entrepreneur and explorer who holds six patents. Descended to the Titanic and the Mariana Trench, founded Exploring Our Deep World, a nonprofit that furthers education, conservation, scientific research, and exploration of Earth’s deep waters.

Vitalii Ostrovsky:  Businessman from Ukraine in the hotel and real estate industry, relentless globetrotter. Has lived in  more than 100 countries on every continent, and now has his sights set on space to pursue a journey that extends his range of exploration off the Earth.
