Memorial In Planning Stages
Four days after his Sukhoi SU-31 crashed a half-mile from
shore in Fort Lauderdale (FL), the wreckage of Ian
Groom's aircraft was recovered Tuesday.
Stormy weather and rough seas delayed recovery of the aircraft
as the Air and Sea Show went on in Groom's honor over the
Groom was practicing a flat-spin Thursday when he failed to
recover and slammed into the ocean. Groom, 58, was pulled from the
water. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Some aviation experts have been quoted in the general media as

The NTSB and the FAA are investigating Groom's death. He had
