Bell Helicopter Showcases Its Newest 407 ALEA

Attendees Will See The 407GX Optimized For Parapublic Missions

Bell Helicopter will display its newest 407 – the 407GX – during the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA) 41st Annual Conference & Exposition in New Orleans this week.

407GX At HeliExpo

“The Bell 407GX is one of Bell Helicopter’s newest versions of the very successful Bell 407 platform, and we are delighted to have it showcased during ALEA this week,” said Larry D. Roberts, senior vice president, Commercial Business.

“The Bell 407GX sets the standard for situational awareness and offers superior performance and enhanced safety characteristics, which we know is critical for parapublic missions. Our law enforcement partners will be pleased with this new, innovative technology that supports their missions,” he said.

The Bell 407GX with the Garmin G1000HTM glass flight deck provides critical flight information at a glance for greater situational awareness, improved operational capability and increased safety. The advanced cockpit features, as standard, two 10.4” high-resolution LCD displays with an intuitive, easy to scan layout and an integrated avionics system that presents flight instrumentation, position, navigation, communication and identification information. Integrated safety attributes include Traffic Information System (TIS), HSVT Synthetic Vision Technology, moving NAV map, Helicopter Terrain Avoidance Warning System (HTAWS) and range ring. There are also engine and crew alerting systems including power situation indicator (PSI) and fuel flow, and automatic power assurance check. The advanced suite also features critical flight parameter storage on a SD card for post flight analysis.
