Hawker Beech Announces First EASA-Certified Piston Order In Poland

Company Expects Approval For New Baron G58 In Time For Delivery

At last week's EBACE 2008 convention in Geneva, Hawker Beechcraft announced the first Beechcraft Baron G58 order from a European customer who will register the aircraft in Europe with European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) certification. HBC expects to receive validation by EASA in the near future, allowing customer Artur Przygoda of Poland to receive the Baron G58 on his delivery date in October of this year.

There has been an incredible interest in Europe for the Beechcraft Baron G58 and Beechcraft Bonanza G36, fully IFR equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics and GFC700 integrated flight control systems. The piston twin also features the new GWX 68 color weather radar and offers optional Jeppesen chart coverage for Europe and other worldwide regions. The combined package provides improved situational awareness, increased functionality, and reduced pilot workload.

"We're pleased to have Mr. Przygoda as our first EASA-certified Baron customer in Poland,"" said Sean McGeough, vice president, International Sales. "As the owner of several other Hawker Beechcraft products, including the third Beechcraft King Air B200GT we delivered, he is a true Beechcraft enthusiast."

Hawker Beechcraft had a Baron G58 on display at EBACE, a new demo aircraft to be used exclusively in Europe. To support the anticipated increase in European piston sales, Hawker Beechcraft also recently added a dedicated piston sales person, Chris Hancock, to the European region sales team. He is based in Chester, U.K.
