One of Civil Air Patrol's long-serving and most active members,

The aircraft leasing group Avolon said late last week that it
had made a firm order for eight A320 aircraft from Airbus. The

Electromagnetic Launch System Will Replace Steam Catapults On
The Navy has been using steam for more than 50 years to launch
aircraft from carriers. Saturday, the Aircraft Launch and Recovery
Equipment (ALRE) program launched an F/A-18E Super Hornet using an
Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System, or EMALS.
Goal Is To Demonstrate Robotic Lunar Landing Missions
NASA has issued delivery orders to three companies as part of
its Innovative Lunar Demonstrations Data (ILDD) project. Each order
is worth $500,000 and will help develop vehicle capabilities and
demonstrate end-to-end robotic lunar landing missions.
Master Instructors of Longmont, Colorado recently introduced its
new Master CFI-Helicopter (MCFI-H) accreditation. Designed to
better serve the needs of the nation's rotorcraft instructors, the
MCFI-H designation is the sixth in a line of Master accreditations
offered by the company.
