Aero-News Featured Aero-Casts For Thursday 06.11.09

Gyroplanes Across America!

ANN's Paul Plack talks with Chris Kurz of Austria, a homeopath and pilot who was sponsored by AutoGyro GmbH on a flight across the US, with friend Robert Nuentz, in a pair of the company's MT03 open-cockpit gyroplanes. (The company has petitioned the FAA to sell the machine as an Experimental Light Sport Aircraft in the US.)

Chris describes the difference in how gyroplanes are viewed in Europe vs the US, and about all the logistical help from strangers that was offered by US gyroplane enthusiasts once word of the planned trip became public.

This feature is in addition to our daily news briefing -- available in either a quick "Touch And Go" format, or an expanded Aero-Briefing -- where you'll hear these stories:

Piper CEO Jim Bass is stepping down.

The White House announces its pick to head the NTSB.

And British Airways pilots are being asked for concessions.

...And more
