The CABA Hosting 2nd Annual Training Event, Awarding Scholarships

Colorado Business Aviation Association To Hold Training Event Next Month

The Colorado Aviation Business Association (CABA) announces their second annual training event, scheduled for Friday, October 5 from 0730 - 1730 local time at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver, CO.

The event, co-hosted by Metropolitan State University of Denver's Department of Aviation and Aerospace Science, is offering training opportunities in SMS, iPad use in the cockpit, and mountain flying among other topics. The event includes presentations by several notable speakers such as Astronaut, Joe Tanner; AOPA's Janet Bressel; Amelia Earhart with Denver Channel 9News; and representatives from the FAA. Interested participants are urged to register early as space is limited.

CABA will award several scholarships at the event, valued over $20,000. Among the scholarships is a Citation 500 series initial type rating, donated by CAE SimuFlite. Interested applicants have until September 15, 2012 to apply for all CABA scholarships. CABA says its purpose for the scholarships is to provide funding to students and professionals who are looking to start and/or expand their training and education within the field of Aviation with a pathway to General and Business Aviation. Scholarship amount and awarding will be based on the defined need of the applicant, not to exceed $2,000.
