Business Jet Dashes 25-Year Record Set By Gulfstream GIV
The Gulfstream G650 demonstration aircraft landed at Paris-Le Bourget Airport for the 50th annual Paris Air Show with three new city-pair records on its résumé: Savannah to Paris; Nice, France, to São Paulo; and Las Vegas to Madrid, Spain. The records are pending confirmation by the National Aeronautic Association (NAA).

A coroner in New Zealand has declared that the crew of a Twin Otter which went down on Mount Elizabeth in Antarctica five months ago is officially deceased. The three men were flying from the South Pole to the Italian base at Terra Nova Bay when the accident occurred.

A new 12” primary flight display, designed for business jet cockpits, has been introduced in Belgium by Barco. With a weight of only 2 kg (4.5 pounds), this display is the lightest in its class. The DU-1200, as the product is called, has been tailor-made for Honeywell’s upgraded Apex cockpit suite for business aircraft, and will be available next year.
