Hybrid Initial Training Course Allows Pilots To Be Aircraft
The first two Afghan air force helicopter pilots to complete
basic pilot training in the U.S. recently began the initial Mi-17
qualification course meant to convert them into Mi-17 helicopter
pilots at the Afghan air force base in Kabul.
NASA To Announce New Planetary Discoveries Next Week
A news briefing with some of the nation's top planetary
scientists will be held by NASA at 1300 EST on Wednesday, Feb. 2,
for the purpose of announcing the Kepler mission's latest findings
about planets outside our solar system.
Boeing, Ethiopian Airlines, Seattle Anesthesia Outreach Partner
On Humanitarian Mission
For the second time in less than two months, a group made up of
Boeing, Ethiopian Airlines and Seattle Anesthesia Outreach (SAO)
have partnered to deliver medical equipment to Black Lion Hospital,
Ethiopia's largest medical facility.
The National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC) has awarded
the Bell 429 helicopter Brazilian certification, the company
announced Friday. This approval follows certification by the FAA,
Transport Canada (TC) and the EASA.
