ALPA Pledges Support For Pinnacle, Mesaba, And Colgan Pilots As
In response to Pinnacle Airline’s announcement of the
purchase of Mesaba Airlines for $62 million, pilot leaders at
Pinnacle, Mesaba, and Colgan Airlines, represented by ALPA, said
the unions were cautiously optimistic about the airline resolving
pilot's issues as the deal goes through.
NASA is now targeting approximately 1633 EDT on Nov. 1 for the
launch of space shuttle Discovery's STS-133 mission, and 1619 EST
on Feb. 26, 2011, for the liftoff of shuttle Endeavour's STS-134
flight from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Boeing Completes Firm Configuration Of 787-9 Dreamliner
Boeing announced Thursday that it has completed the firm
configuration for the 787-9 Dreamliner. The announcement comes
after years of collaboration with airline customers and partners to
determine the optimal configuration for the new stretch version of

The pilot of an ultralight aircraft which went down in Gull Lake
in MN last June has been sentenced to 240 days in jail and fined
$1,500 for operating the plane while intoxicated. He will also be
on probation for six years.
Pilot Reported Symptoms Associated With A Heart Attack
A Cessna 182P went down about two miles short of the Catalina
Airport in the Sky (KAVX) runway after the pilot reported he was
possibly suffering a heart attack. He was fatally injured in the
accident, though it has not been determined whether the impact or
his medical condition was the cause.

swiftly to resolve pilot labor issues and streamline the workforce
