Authorities in Snohomish County say they think they have the
"inside track" on a new NASCAR speedway that could be built near
Marysville (WA). There's just one problem. It would be built right
next to Arlington Airport, often cited by ANN as one of the best
aviation facilities in the country.

California 300 Air Race: First Event of the 2004 National Air
Southern California provided ideal weather and the start

Valley Airport, Murrieta (CA) was the start/finish for Tuesday's

Mary Swenson, speaking to the Snohomish Business Journal about the
possibility of building a NASCAR track right next to the Arlington
Municipal Airport (WA). Marysville city leaders support the idea.
Arlington's elected officials, however, have taken more of a
wait-and-see attitude toward the concept.
NASA is keeping a close watch over Hurricane Frances as it
churns toward the United States. International Space Station
cameras are capturing spectacular images of the storm from above.
On the Florida coast, NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is making
preparations to protect the Space Shuttle fleet, spacecraft
hardware, and facilities against damage.
