The airshow industry is mourning the loss of two of its family members after a tragic accident this past Saturday at the Dayton International Airshow. Jane Wicker and Charlie Schwenker were reported dead after a 1245 (local time, Saturday) performance. Asking For Help To Locate Objects That Could Be A Threat To Earth
NASA appears to be pushing hard to sell its asteroid mission to the scientific community as well as the public. The space agency announced Tuesday a Grand Challenge focused on finding all asteroid threats to human populations and knowing what to do about them. NASA also released a request for information (RFI) that invites industry and potential partners to offer ideas on accomplishing NASA's goal to locate, redirect, and explore an asteroid, as well as find and plan for asteroid threats.
