Five Aircraft Are Complete, Ten More In Final Assembly
With the first five aircraft completed and another ten in final
assembly, Viking Air Limited of Sidney, BC, Canada has received
Transport Canada final “Production” approval for the
manufacture of the Series 400 Twin Otter.
Climber Suffered A Broken Leg At Over 19 Thousand Feet
On Thursday, May 12, 2011, an AS350 B3 helicopter from Denali
National Park & Preserve performed a high-altitude rescue on
Mt. McKinley of an injured climber, who had broken his leg in a
fall near the summit. It was one of the highest
rescues ever recorded on Mt. McKinley.
The fleet of Honeywell Aerospace HTF7000 turbofan engines has
accrued more than one million hours of operation on the Bombardier
Challenger 300 and is delivering more than 99.96 reliability for
operators, according to the company.
Time of Arrival (STA) tags, which are still being rescheduled by
traffic management advisor (TMA) calculations. The aircraft will
remain unfrozen until the time the corresponding estimated time of
arrival (ETA) tag passes the preset freeze horizon for that
aircraft's stream class. At this point the automatic rescheduling
will stop, and the STA becomes "frozen."

Museum Childrens Learning Center
The Museum's Learning Center provides a learning environment for
children, youth and adults. It includes a "Book Basket" filled with
cushions covered with balloon fabric where children can sit and
read a book about ballooning. It also has places to color balloon
pictures. A special feature is a video game called "Hot Air Pilot"
which allows older children and adults to fly a virtual hot air
balloon. There is a balloon basket in the Children's Learning
Center which people can walt into and get their picture taken.
