NORAD and USNORTHERN Command Intercept Transgressing
Two NORAD F-15 fighters got more slow-flight practice
than they might have intended as they intercepted an RV-8
small aircraft in violation of a temporary flight restricted area
near Chicago at 5:42 pm MDT, Friday. The aircraft landed in Aurora,

Red Eagles In Aerobatic Flight... Updated, Aggressive,
While many might assume that the sight of two Eagles in
aerobatic flight was something that had been seen/done been before,
two guys are out to prove you wrong. Red Eagles delivers a
spectacular airshow... and their uniquely modified Eagles deliver
the goods -- which is why when these guys flew over Cecil Field
2009, ALL eyes were turned skyward.
Occupants Escape Harm, But Airplane Is A Total Loss
Here is a tragedy... though we must note that
its a tragedy that could have been FAR worse. The loss of a
carefully crafted Experimental, especially a really prized airframe
like the RV-10, is tragic, but the fact that everyone escaped
unharmed (pretty much) is a blessing.
The first on-orbit signals from the new GPS IIF-1 satellite, the
inaugural spacecraft in a 12-satellite constellation that the
company is building for the U.S. Air Force have been received. The
signals indicate that the spacecraft bus is functioning normally
and ready to begin orbital maneuvers and operational testing.

Aero-Linx: Alan Henley -- My
One of sport aviation's more indefatigable characters is a guy
by the name of Alan Henley... once best known for this flying with
AeroShell Aerobatic Team. A tragic accident nearly two years
ago has left him partially paralyzed and in need of nearly
constant medical care. This blog is the product of his family...
detailing the struggles, the triumphs, the pain and the reality of
living through such horrific circumstances...
"The inaugural launch of the GPS IIF-1 is a milestone in
Boeing's 30 years of support to the Air Force that goes back to the
first days of this program. The new GPS IIF satellites bring key
improvements, including a more jam-resistant military signal, a new
civil signal to enhance commercial aviation and search-and-rescue
operations, and significantly improved signal accuracy as more of
these new satellites go into operation."
