Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) announced Monday it has
received a follow-on order from the United States Air Force for six
additional King Air 350ER special mission aircraft in support of
Project Liberty. HBC was awarded the original contract for 23 King
Air 350ER turboprops in November 2008.

NBAA and University Aviation Association (UAA) member institutions
have received 2009 NBAA Barden Scholarship awards totaling $5,000.
The annual scholarships are named for Aviation Personnel

Pilot Lands 767 On Taxiway At Hartsfield-Jackson In
The FAA and NTSB are investigating how a Delta Boeing 767 from
Rio de Janeiro wound up landing on a taxiway, rather than on Runway
27R at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The NTSB
is reporting that on Monday morning a Boeing B767 landed
on taxiway M at ATL after being cleared to land on runway 27R.

EADS has named Sean O'Keefe as Chief Executive Officer to lead
the operations of EADS North America. His appointment is effective
November 1, 2009. Ralph D. Crosby, Jr., current Chairman and Chief

as chairman of the EADS North America board .

Avidyne announced Tuesday that they have added significant new
weather products to the data feed for customers flying with the
MLX770 two-way datalink transceiver. The new weather products
include Infrared Satellite Imagery (SatIR), worldwide lightning and

In his speech to the opening session of the NBAA
Convention in Orlando this week, FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt
again sounded the themes of professionalism and safety, and how
safety management systems should be integreated into aviation
operations. It didn't take long to find a website dedicated to
