Big news coming from Honda Aircraft Company. ANN has learned
that Honda has successfully completed the first flight of its
FAA-conforming HondaJet advanced light business jet. The event is a
significant step in Honda's aerospace program leading to delivery
of aircraft in 2012.
WSI Rolls Out Advanced, Intellicast Interactive App
iPad users now have another free option for getting the weather
delivered to the popular portable device. WSI (Weather Services
International), said Monday that Intellicast.com, its weather
website, is now available as a free, downloadable, iPad application
from Apple App Store.

Squadron Was Activated In September, First Refueling Mission
Airmen from the 96th Air Refueling Squadron at Joint Base Pearl
Harbor performed their first operational mission Dec. 13 by
refueling B-52 Stratofortresses from the 5th Wing at Minot AFB, ND.
The 96th ARS was activated here in September and has been
conducting training sorties since then.
Board Could Not Determine Cause By "Clear And Convincing
Air Force Special Operations Command officials released the
results of their investigation into the CV-22 Osprey accident April
9, near Qalat, Afghanistan late last week. Four were killed and 16
injured in the accident.
The worldwide fleet of C-17 Globemaster III airlifters surpassed
2 million flying hours during an airdrop mission over Afghanistan
on Dec. 10. Reaching 2 million flight hours equates to 1.13 billion
nautical miles – the equivalent of a C-17 flying to the moon
and back 2,360 times.
Contract Includes Logistics, Engineering, Debriefing
The Swiss Air Force plans to expand its PC-21 Jet Pilot Training
System (JEPAS), and has placed a follow-up order for two additional
PC-21 turboprop training aircraft along with logistics and
engineering services, plus another debriefing system.
Nearly four years ago, Air China and CFM International agreed to
establish an innovative maintenance repair, and overhaul (MRO)
joint venture. After lengthy negotiations, the two companies have
received Chinese government approval for the formation of Sichuan

to a sleepy little airport in a small town in Indiana, by the name
of Mentone. The town hosts a pretty neat little airport that, among

Association and a dynamite yearly rotorcraft gathering that gets

Space shuttle Discovery is scheduled to roll back from Launch
Pad 39A to the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at NASA's Kennedy
Space Center in Florida for additional work related to its final
scheduled mission. The first motion of the shuttle is targeted for
0030 EST on Tuesday, Dec. 21.

Forty Five Military Helos Ordered By The Spanish
The first flight of Spain's NH90 TTH tactical transport
helicopter was conducted Monday, an event Eurocopter says will
sustaining the development pace for this multinational rotary-wing
program. The one-hour mission was performed at Eurocopter's
Marignane facility in France.
