This summer Alaska Airlines began testing next-generation flight
procedures at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) that

Splashdown 2009 To Showcase Recovery Ship For Apollo 11 And
Apollo 12 Missions
The USS Hornet Museum is commemorating the 40th anniversary of
its historic, safe recovery of Apollo 11 with Splashdown 2009, a
three-day festival taking place on the aircraft carrier, which is
anchored at Alameda Point on San Francisco Bay, July 24 - 26.
Remains Were Found In A Fuel Tank During Investigation
While the NTSB did not cite a cause of the forced landing of a
Penobscott Island Air Service Cessna 206 on June 15th it did note
that the remains of a snail were found in the fuel that was
recovered at the accident site. Fortunately there was only one
minor injury associated with this incident.
Academy Of Carver Aviation Also Becomes Distributor For
LSA manufacturer Flight Design has recently entered the Indian
market, and the largest flight school in India, Academy of Carver
Aviation Pvt. Ltd., has become a Flight Design Pilot Center
and the distributor for India.
David Carroll was traveling to a gig on United Airlines, when
the airline's baggage handlers broke one of his instruments, a
$3500 Taylor guitar. United has been, shall we say, reluctant
to pay for the damage, so Carroll has written a song, and produced
a video, about the incident.
