Aero-News: Quote of the Day (01.17.09)

Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

"A little weird."

Source: Lorrie Sullenberger, describing what her husband -- Captain Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III -- thinks of the attention lavished upon him after he piloted US Airways Flight 1549 to a safe water landing Thursday on New York's Hudson River. All 150 passengers and five crewmembers were able to safely evacuate the plane, and Sullenberger -- along with copilot Jeffrey Skiles, and flight attendants Donna Dent, Doreen Welsh, and Sheila Dail -- are being hailed as heroes for their efforts.
