New Rules Replace Measures Implemented Following Attempted
Christmas Day Attack
DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano announced Friday that the TSA
will begin implementing new enhanced security measures for all air
carriers with international flights to the United States to
strengthen the safety and security of all passengers.
NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson and Russian cosmonauts
Alexander Skvortsov and Mikhail Kornienko safely launched to the
International Space Station aboard a Soyuz spacecraft on Friday.
Liftoff occurred at 12:04 a.m. EDT from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in
International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Airline Division,
Teamsters Local 1108 and Flight Options, LLC, a Cleveland-based
provider of luxury business jet fractional ownership and jet card
programs, announced Wednesday that the pilots had ratified a first
Pilot Killed When Plane Went Down Near Johns Island Executive
The 70-year-old pilot of a Kolb Mark III Xtra was killed
Thursday morning when the plane went down about 1100 EDT near Johns
Island Executive Airport. John Ratcliffe was the only person on
board the plane.

80-Year-Old Pilot Killed When Plane Crashed Into A Dock
The pilot of a Czech Aircraft Works Mermaid amphibian was killed
Thursday when the aircraft impacted a dock on the St. Clair River
in St. Clair County, Michigan. His name is being withheld pending
notification of relatives.
“ We need to change the culture and remove the
stigma associated with depression. Pilots should be able to
get the medical treatment they need so they can safely perform

Radar signals reflected from fixed objects on the earth's
surface; e.g., buildings, towers, terrain. Permanent echoes are
distinguished from "ground clutter" by being definable locations
rather than large areas. Under certain conditions they may be used
to check radar alignment.
