Quest Aircraft Dedicates New Production Facility

Expansion Will House the KODIAK Production Line

Quest Aircraft has dedicated a new 57,000 square foot production facility that increases the company's facility to 84,000 square feet. The new expansion will be the home of the KODIAK production line. The official dedication took place on Thursday, October 13 at the company's Sandpoint headquarters with several hundred supporters, customers and employees in attendance.

The opening of the new facility comes just as the company celebrates the anniversary of the KODIAK's first flight. The aircraft made its maiden flight on October 16, 2004. During this past year, the KODIAK has logged more than 250 hours toward FAA certification and made significant progress in all areas of conformance and testing.

"Today is another exciting day in the history of Quest Aircraft," said Quest Chief Executive Officer Paul Schaller on Thursday. "The last 12 months have seen a number of remarkable milestones including first flight, our public debut at the Alaska State Aviation Trade Show, worldwide exposure at EAA AirVenture, initial acceptance of customer deposits, and now the imminent start up of KODIAK production.

"It was 3 years ago almost to the day that Quest celebrated the dedication of the original 27,000 square foot R&D facility," continued Schaller.

"With the KODIAK about to go into production and over a year's worth of orders already on the books, we have come a long way in fulfilling the company's vision."

The dedication ceremony included presentations by board members to key supporting organizations and individuals who have been part of the Quest team as well as a restatement of the company's purpose of providing aircraft suitable for humanitarian and mission needs around the world.

Quest Aircraft, LLC is the manufacturer of the KODIAK, a 10-place single engine turboprop utility airplane, designed to be float capable. Headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, Quest was established in 2001, and currently employs more than 50 skilled personnel.
