Allegiant Air Updates Livery

Hey Spotters! Here's A New One For Ya!

It's a whole new look. Allegiant Air's new livery (as shown on one of its MD-83 aircraft) features a bright sunburst design on the tail, emphasizing the airline's "sun" destinations. The low fare airline operates scheduled service to Las Vegas from cities in the west and mid-west. The airline also flys charters to Reno/Tahoe and Laughlin, Nevada and to vacation destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. Allegiant is based in Las Vegas.

The aircraft paint design emphasizes the airline's 'sun' destinations, its new Las Vegas home, and the convenience of its website for low fares and vacation packages to Las Vegas.

"Changes in the design of our aircraft livery are essential to refining our corporate image and keeping our look fresh and current," said Maurice J. Gallagher, President and Chief Executive Officer of Allegiant. "The colors are strong and the design is clean. It is a modern look that retains the sunburst symbol of Allegiant's heritage, evocative of the warm 'sun' leisure destination that is Las Vegas and our charter destinations."

The new livery has a bold, contemporary look that was created for the airline by Tiami Designs, Atlanta, Georgia. "It may be cliche, but this livery really does represent more that just a new coat of paint," said Gallagher. "This new brand identity refreshes the original Allegiant symbol, making a bolder statement, boasting a higher level of recognition, and reflects our growth strategy."

Since February of this year, Allegiant Air has added five new routes linking Las Vegas with cities in the West and mid-west, entered long-term charter contracts for service to Reno/Lake Tahoe and Laughlin, Nevada as well as vacation destinations in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, ordered and taken delivery of additional aircraft and relocated its corporate and operations headquarters to Las Vegas.

Allegiant's fleet includes seven jet aircraft, including two130-seat MD-87s, two 164-165 seat MD-82s, and three 161-162 seat MD-83s. The airline has contracted for the purchase of additional aircraft that will be delivered later this year and in 2004. Allegiant Air is a privately owned airline founded in 1997. The airline's headquarters are in Las Vegas.
