Upgraded: Brian Riley

"Moves From Government to Honest Work"

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) just announced the hiring of Brian Riley for a newly-created position of Vice President of Government Affairs.

Riley comes to GAMA from the Department of Transportation (DoT) where he was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget and Programs. Prior to his service at the DOT, Riley was Assistant Administrator for Government and Industry Affairs at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He also spent several years on Capitol Hill as a member of the professional staff of the Senate Budget Committee and as a top aide to former Senator Connie Mack (R-FL). A native of Maryland, Riley holds a Bachelor of Science - History and Political Science from The American University in DC.

"The creation of the Department of Homeland Security, with its attendant Congressional oversight and appropriations committees, has significantly increased the scope of GAMA's government activities," said GAMA President Ed Bolen. "With his tremendous experience in both the executive and legislative branches of government, Brian is an excellent addition to our team. We feel very fortunate to have him on board."
