Stage III Technologies Receives Final FAA Approval For Gulfstream Hushkit

Demo Units Are On Patrol

Stage III Technologies announced today that it received final FAA approval for its patented Gulfstream G II and G III stage 3 hushkit. The hushkit reduces noise to the 70-73 dBA level (depending on model), thus permitting operations at all airports serving the Gulfstream fleet at any time at maximum weight regardless of the imposition of noise curfews.

Stage III demonstrated its hushkit over the last two weeks with stops at Van Nuys, Teterboro, Dallas and West Palm Beach.

“The response from airport noise personnel, our hosts at Jet Aviation and all the visiting operators, managers, pilots and maintenance people exceeded all our expectations. Our hushkit speaks for itself. It reduces noise by 50%. Not only is it maintenance free, but our new thrust reverser obviously requires none of the maintenance attendant to the 20-30 year old existing reversers, and its technology is so efficient that it delivers the same thrust at significantly lower power settings, thereby relieving wear and tear on the engine itself.”

Stage III Technologies is taking orders for installations late this summer.
