Jeppesen To Offer Flexible Digital Data Subscription Pricing Options

New Tier For JeppView Designed To Meet Device Access Needs

Jeppesen introduced a new digital JeppView navigation data subscription pricing structure Wednesday that's based on the number of devices powered by Jeppesen data, related to four U.S.-based coverage options. Available for popular mobile device delivery through Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck or personal computer access, the new pricing model will allow customers to choose between two or four “installs,” or device access points for Jeppesen data that come with a digital JeppView subscription. The new flexible JeppView subscription pricing structure is scheduled to be available within two months, linked to the upcoming release of Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck version 2.0.

Providing increased options and flexibility related to JeppView allows for significant cost savings for customers requiring fewer device access points. In choosing two installs, rather than the standard four, customers will receive an approximate 35 percent savings for the same quality and chart coverage area purchased. The discounted two-install JeppView subscription rate is applicable to the four U.S.-based chart coverage options.

“We listen closely to our customers and adapt our products and services to meet their needs,” said Tim Huegel, director, Jeppesen Aviation Portfolio Management. “Providing flexibility with our JeppView pricing related to the number of install data access points received allows our customers to choose what works best for their individual needs and offers reduced subscription costs for those using fewer devices powered by Jeppesen data.”

JeppView data subscriptions are available for general aviation pilots and business aviation operators and provide Jeppesen’s standard-bearing chart coverage areas spanning small regions to worldwide. Currently, regional Express JeppView data subscription options begin at $76 annually and provide access to the industry-leading Jeppesen mobile apps for iPad and now Samsung Galaxy tablets using the Android operating system.

For those interested in becoming a Jeppesen digital data subscriber, please visit the Jeppesen website for JeppView package purchase details and to view coverage options.

Additional functionality with Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck version 2.0 is planned for introduction in the near future. The new Mobile FliteDeck version will add more capabilities for pilots using the app in the air and on the ground to enhance the overall flight process and to increase situational awareness in the cockpit.
