Despite The Rest of Industry's Ailments, AIA Claims 'Record Growth'

Well, At Least Someone is Growing...

The Aerospace Industries Association tells ANN that it has 'extended its record growth with the enrollment of eight new full members and nine associate members at its May Board of Governors meeting.' Full membership has increased almost 50 percent since January 2010 to 147 companies. AIA approved the following new full members at its Board of Governors meeting in May:

  • AlliedBarton Security Services provides trained and qualified personnel who provide specific services to reduce the vulnerability of its aerospace and defense clients.
  • Gentex Corporation specializes in technologies and processes to deliver high quality products to the automotive, aerospace and fire protection industries.
  • IEC Electronics Corporation has served as a premier provider of electronic manufacturing services to advanced technology companies for more than four decades.
  • Metron Aviation is a leading provider of advanced air traffic management products and services for the global aviation industry.
  • PARTsolutions, LLC is a leading provider of PLM solutions for next generation 3D part catalog management and hosting, delivering solutions since 1992.
  • Rhinestahl Corporation was founded as a precision machining and manufacturing company and has grown to be one of the world's leading providers of gas turbine engine and airframe tools.
  • Sila Solutions Group is a business and technology firm focused on turning clients' most complex business problems into functional solutions using its extensive leadership skills and technical expertise.
  • Valent Aerostructures supplies major, complex sub-assemblies for leading airframe manufacturers in the commercial aerospace, military fixed-wing, rotorcraft, missile and ground support and general aviation industries.

AIA also approved the following new associate members in May: 

  • ARINC Engineering Services, LLC provides communications, engineering, and integration services to deliver mission-critical solutions around the globe to the commercial, defense and government industries.
  • Benchmark Electronics, Inc. manufactures electronics and provides services to original equipment manufacturers of telecommunication equipment, computers and related products.
  • Glovia International is one of the world's most experienced and solidly backed enterprise software firms.
  • Moritz Aerospace, specializes in the design, development and manufacture of electronic processing, monitoring and control systems for the aerospace, marine and transportation industries.
  • Oceanit is a diversified science and engineering company developing innovative solutions to complex global problems for the ocean, earth, space, medical and defense fields.
  • Pelican Products is a global manufacturer of advanced lighting systems, rugged protector cases and shipping containers.
  • Safran USA, Inc. is a global high technology company with concentrations in aerospace, defense and security.
  • ThyssenKrupp Aerospace North America supplies aerospace raw materials and finished part logistics to the world's leading aerospace companies and their supply chains.
  • The World Academy provides training programs and seminars for global trade associations, public seminars and custom made in-house training programs.
