Ryan International Corporation has announced that Ibis Aerospace
has chosen Ryan to provide collision avoidance systems for its
Ae270 Spirit. The Ryan model 9900BX will be standard equipment on
the Spirit aircraft.
Ryan's traffic advisory system is designed to be flexible,
versatile and interfaces with other displays like the Chelton
System. With the 9900BX displayed on the Chelton FlightLogic
Synthetic Vision EFIS, real-time traffic information is provided
giving enhanced situational awareness. This combination offers the
flight crew more precise information to safely navigate and avoid
the hazards of traffic threats.
We feel truly honored being the
preferred provider of collision avoidance," says Bruce Bunevich,
V.P. of Sales and Marketing for Ryan. "Here you have a first-class
aircraft meeting the needs of today's pilots with state-of-the art
equipment installed. This is an exciting strategic partnership that
will only grow well into the future."
Building on its long-standing reputation for innovation, Ryan
offers exclusive features for collision avoidance. The 9900BX TAS
provides an Audible Position Alerting that announces traffic alert,
clock face position, and elevation "Traffic! 12 o'clock high! 1
Mile!"
This system gives aircraft owners
the most comprehensive technology of any traffic collision alerting
device available today. Coupled with the Ryan-patented low-profile,
minimal-drag, top and bottom mounted directional antennas, the Ryan
9900BX TAS provides 20 nautical mile horizontal range. The dual
antenna system also provides up to 20,000' vertical shield.
The Ae270 Spirit from Ibis Aerospace is a large-cabin,
pressurized aircraft designed to carry 6-7 passengers in an
executive configuration. It provides ease of operation, safety,
economy and comfort only available in larger, more expensive
aircraft.
