Aero-TV: EAA/AirVenture On The Road - The Mobile Oshkosh Experience

The EAA Spirit of Aviation Mobile Experience Debuted At the Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE)…

While at NBAA-BACE 2016, ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, picked up an assignment that looked like a lot of fun. He had the opportunity to checkout EAA’s new Spirit of Aviation Mobile Experience that is not only fun, it’s also highly informative.

To get the scoop on this traveling EAA exhibit, Tom talked with Dave Chaimson, the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for EAA. Chaimson explained that while many people have heard of EAA, some don’t actually know what the organization is all about. He pointed out that even though EAA AirVenture Oshkosh welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors every year, many of them only associate EAA with AirVenture, and they don’t see the full picture.

The EAA Spirit of Aviation Mobile Experience is designed to showcase the various interest in aviation that make up the EAA membership. It touches on the history of EAA and provides a fascinating two minute virtual-reality presentation of EAA AirVenture. Visitors can actually get a taste of airplane construction materials by building a small cookie-cutter, gliders can be assembled and test flown, and Redbird Flight Simulation has provided two of their simulators that allow participants to actually practice flying.

This video shows us details about the Mobile Experience trailer and provides insight as to how this display will be used to further the cause of grassroots and recreational aviation.
