Comes To Group From Sporting Goods Manufacturing
Association
The
National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has hired association
marketing veteran Chris Strong as its new vice president,
membership marketing. He officially joined the Association on
January 5, and reports to NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
Strong comes to NBAA with more than two decades of extensive
experience in direct-response marketing, strategic planning,
database marketing and member relationship management.
Most recently, Strong served as director of business operations
for the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA), where he
was responsible for the Association's membership, trade show and
non-dues revenue. He also was responsible for overseeing continual
growth for the association and launching the Spring Market Trade
Show, which was acknowledged by Trade Show Week as the second
largest trade show launched this decade.
"Chris comes to NBAA with extensive experience in membership
marketing and support, which will be of great benefit to our
Association and NBAA's Member Companies," said Bolen. "He is a
welcome addition to NBAA's leadership team and a valued asset as we
continually work to strengthen the support we provide for the
business aviation community."
Prior to his service at SGMA, Strong served in various
leadership roles as vice president of member programs at the
National Association of Manufacturers.
"I look forward to this exciting opportunity to work with a
growing association that is dedicated to the success of its
Members," said Strong.
Strong holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of
Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Master’s of Business
Administration from the University of Baltimore, and is a member of
the American Society of Association Executives.
