USAF F-22 Raptor Test Flight Latest Aircraft To Successfully
Fly On Renewable Fuel Blend
Sustainable Oils said Monday that a jet fuel derived from its
camelina powered the successful test flight of a U.S. Air Force
F-22 Raptor aircraft. The aircraft was powered by a 50/50 fuel
blend of conventional petroleum-based JP-8 and biofuel derived from
camelina.
NASA ushered in a new era of space exploration at its Wallops
Flight Facility in Virginia on Tuesday with a ribbon cutting
ceremony opening the new Horizontal Integration Facility (HIF).
DeltaHawk Engines has named Dennis Webb the company’s new
CEO. Webb, who has been with DeltaHawk since 2005, will take over
for Diane Doers, who will continue serving in an advisory role with
the board of directors.

Mid-Continent Instruments has been selected as Kannad's
mid-western factory-authorized repair and factory-authorized

Joins Existing High Speed Internet Service For Business
Aircraft
Aircell will add next-generation voice capabilities to its
popular Gogo Biz service in late 2011, the company said Wednesday
at the annual AEA convention.
Cabin Handset Designed Specifically For Business Aircraft
The new Aircell Smartphone was unveiled Wednesday at the AEA
convention in Reno. The company says the unit's intuitive,
menu-driven features allow passengers to place and receive voice
calls aboard business aircraft as easily and conveniently as they
do with mobile phones on the ground.
Government Considers Basic Skill Exams For Pilot
Candidates
The Indian government has arrested two more people working as
airline pilots who were flying on faked licences. Both submitted
forged certificates when they obtained their commercial licenses,
according to government anti-corruption official Umesh Mishra.
Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley and Air Force Chief of
Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz discussed the Air Force fiscal-2012
budget request and recent developments in Japan and Libya during a
Senate Armed Services Committee hearing March 17.
