Diamond Receives Government Of Canada Investment

Diamond Aircraft tells ANN that it has received a hefty $19.6 million strategic, repayable investment from the Government of Canada for research and development (R&D) of its D-JET, personal light jet. The company announced it will manufacture the innovative, new all-composite, five-seat aircraft at its facility in London, Ontario, where the D-JET R&D program is based.

And so it ends... after weeks and months of heart-felt searching that employed the best efforts of thousands of people (on-site and online), a Cook County Circuit Court has declared missing pilot, Steve Fossett, dead.

Space shuttle Endeavour's rollout to Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla., has been rescheduled for 12:01 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18. Endeavour is targeted to lift off March 11 on the 16-day STS-123 mission to the International Space Station.

Sadly, ANN must report that the US Coast Guard has suspended its search for an adventurer/hot-air balloonist who was reported missing January 31, 2008.

Judge’s Order Marks Third Ruling in a Row Allowing Construction to Move Forward

The Panama City–Bay County International Airport and Industrial District (Airport Authority) confirmed Saturday that U.S. District Court Judge Timothy J. Corrigan had denied airport opponents' third attempt to halt construction at the new Airport. Airport Authority Chairman Joe Tannehill said construction was proceeding unrestricted, in accordance with our permits, and on schedule.

Sikorsky Aircraft has signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining their teaming up with Tata Advanced Systems to manufacture S-92 helicopter cabins in India. Tata Advanced Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Industries focused on providing integrated solutions for defense and aerospace.
