A Piper Aztec disappeared from radar during a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Andros Island in the Bahamas Saturday morning, apparently crashing into the ocean about 17 miles off the Fort Lauderdale coast, reported the AP. There were no survivors.

Source: Lt. Cmdr. Garrett D. Kasper, spokesman for the US Navy's Blue Angels precision flying team. On Sunday, the service and the family of Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis confirmed the young pilot was flying Blue Angels 6, which crashed during a performance Saturday at MCAS Beaufort in South Carolina. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
