All 10 U.S. soldiers aboard died late Friday when a CH-47 Chinook transport helicopter crashed near Asadabad in Afghanistan's Kunar province, military officials reported Saturday.

One month after a C-5 Galaxy crash-landed less than a mile short of the runway here, recovery operations are proceeding on schedule, officials said. All 17 people on board survived the April 3 crash.

Completing their first month in space, Expedition 13 Commander Pavel Vinogradov and Flight Engineer Jeff Williams eased into normal station activities this week.

Bombardier Aerospace informs ANN that Arik Air of Lagos, Nigeria has exercised a firm order for two Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets. Arik Air will be the first CRJ900 operator on the African continent, and the first airline to introduce new commercial aircraft into Nigeria since 1982.
