26 North Aviation To Support World Speed Record Attempt

Cessna Mustang Flight Aims To Raise Money For Make-A-Wish Foundation

Aircraft management and charter provider 26 North Aviation announced Thursday it will support Jared Isaacman in his attempt to set a world speed record. Isaacman, 25, intends to raise money and awareness for The Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey by beating the current record for circumnavigating the globe in a light aircraft.

26 North Aviation is assisting Isaacman in his efforts by sponsoring a website that will allow visitors to make donations to The Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey. The company says sponsoring this website is an opportunity for 26 North Aviation to encourage aviation enthusiasts around the world, and to contribute to a notable charitable organization.

Isaacman plans to pilot a Cessna Citation Mustang on the record attempt.

"We will have accurate information on weather, temperature and winds, which are all essential to navigating a long distance in the shortest time possible," Isaacman said. "There is no better way to test the systems and capabilities of a new generation and sophisticated aircraft like the Mustang without throwing all the world has to offer against it. Attempting a world speed record will allow our team to accomplish this goal and also raise money and awareness for The Make-A-Wish Foundation."

"Supporting Jared Isaacman and his crew in an effort to break the current world speed record is an absolute pleasure," added Walter Garner, President, 26 North Aviation. "As a pilot and President of 26 North Aviation I can appreciate what this record means, both for the individuals who will accomplish it and the philanthropic cause that it is supporting. We are also very proud that the new generation Citation 510 Mustang Aircraft attempting this record-breaking adventure is currently part of our charter fleet."
