New, Comprehensive iPhone Guides, Checklists For Popular GPS Units

Max Trescott GPS Guides For iPhone Now Available

GPS technology is an essential part of many General Aviation cockpits, yet half of GPS users surveyed said they have difficulty getting a GPS to do what they want. Using flight plans and finding infrequently used pages were the most common issues. Now new Max Trescott GPS Guides for the iPhone are available to help pilots operate their GPSs.

Introduced though a partnership with Hilton Software, the initial release includes applications for the Garmin GPSMAP 296, 396, 495, 496, 695 and 696 GPSs. "We are happy to extend our market-leading position on the iPhone by partnering with Glass Cockpit Publishing to create GPS Guides for the iPhone.

The new GPS Guides offer unprecedented ease of use and eliminate fumbling through checklists." said Dr. Hilton Goldstein, CEO of Hilton Software LLC.

The Max Trescott GPS Guides work equally well as illustrated self-learning guides and as quick reference checklists. Organized by function, a menu tree structure makes it easy to drill down to find exactly what you need. Color screen images let you see how the GPS looks at each step in the process. Since iPhone users always carry their phone, pilots are never without GPS information when they need it.

Each page in the Max Trescott GPS Guides has detailed explanations and GPS screen shots, not just a list of steps. Tips are also included offering suggestions on how best to use the GPS. Plus pilots can always have the most current information, since application updates are downloadable after new GPS features are introduced. Perhaps best of all, the company says, all of the Guides are available on the device without adding an ounce to your flight case! Detailed explanations on accessing weather information are included for all XM Weather enabled GPSs.
