UK-Based Outfit Builds HBC's Global Beech Support Network
Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) announced Monday U.K.-based
FR Aviation recently joined its worldwide network of authorized
service centers to support its Beechcraft line of aircraft. Based
at Bournemouth International Airport, FR Aviation’s main
facility is strategically located to service Beechcraft customers
across Europe, alongside existing service centers.
"FR Aviation is a well respected aerospace company with
considerable engineering capabilities," notes Steve Porte, vice
president, International Customer Support. "Their appointment as an
authorized service center will supplement our existing network to
ensure effective support to our ever increasing fleet of aircraft
in Europe."
In addition to its engineering capabilities, FR Aviation and its
parent company Cobham plc, are key providers of military airborne
electronic warfare training and special-mission services across the
world. In Europe, for example, FR Aviation already employs a number
of Beechcraft King Air platforms in the precision flight inspection
role, and the group will be one of the first users of the new
extended-range King Air 350ER.
In addition to the appointment as an authorized service center,
HBC and FR Aviation will work together to identify new
opportunities for mutual cooperation in the global special-mission
environment.
"FR Aviation is a key provider of special-mission services and
we see many opportunities for closer cooperation," said Nigel Guz,
business development executive, Special Mission Aircraft. "The
appointment as an authorized service center is a valuable mechanism
to expand our offerings in the UK and beyond."
