Teams With Peters Software To Provide Updatable Content For Multiple Platforms
Jeppesen has teamed with Peters Software GmbH, a leading provider of training and test preparation software programs for EASA private and commercial pilot license preparation, to deliver airline transport pilot training materials for flight schools and universities in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
The airline pilot training materials are intended for use with various platforms, including e-books, PC and Macintosh computers and printed versions. The Peters Software solution allows for Jeppesen training materials to be continuously updated, using state of the art database technology. This process allows for updates to be delivered more efficiently and training programs to remain current with regulatory guidance, including the recent transition to EASA flight crew licensing guidelines from previous JAA requirements.
“Our coordination with Peters Software provides an enhanced EASA commercial pilot training experience for the EMEA market and will serve as the foundation for our Next Generation training courseware for this region,” said Julie Filucci, senior manager, Jeppesen Aviation Training Solutions. “With multiple delivery platforms and intuitive functionality, Jeppesen commercial pilot training materials combined with Peters Software leading database technology provides the most current and relevant solution for commercial pilot training.”
Jeppesen’s EASA-based airline transport pilot training materials will now feature Peters Software interactive technology to enhance the learning experience, including realistic photos and graphics to illustrate training concepts. Multimedia content including video and animations are incorporated into the training materials to further extend pilot learning. Printed books also are produced on-demand to incorporate the latest up to date information, eliminating bulk quantity material orders that could quickly be obsolete.
Future plans for extending the Jeppesen relationship with Peters Software include an airline transport pilot license training program for the helicopter market later this year and additional programs for private and commercial pilot training.
