CAE Expands Business, Commercial Aviation Training Footprint

Adds Gulfstream G450/G550 Training In London, UK And Dallas, TX, Grows Authorized Training Provider Agreement With Bombardier

CAE announced on the eve of the European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE) the launch of Gulfstream G450/G550 training at CAE's London training centre in Burgess Hill, UK in 2014 and at the CAE Dallas training centre in the United States in late 2013. CAE already offers Gulfstream training in New York, USA; Dubai, UAE; and Shanghai, China.

"We are pleased to continue to expand training resource accessibility and options for our business aircraft clients," said Rob Lewis, CAE's Vice President and General Manager, Business Aviation, Helicopter and Maintenance Training. "We want our customers to be able to train anywhere in the world with ease and get the same exceptional quality and experience."

CAE offers business aviation training on more than 80 different aircraft platforms and operates over 60 full-flight simulators in a global network of ten locations, including Mexico City, Mexico; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Melbourne, Australia; Shanghai, China; Dubai, UAE; London, UK; New York, Phoenix, and Dallas, TX.

The company also said it is adding a Challenger 605 full-flight simulator in Europe. A Bombardier Challenger 605(i) aircraft full-flight simulator (FFS) is scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2016. CAE currently provides Challenger 604(i) and Challenger 605 aircraft training in Dubai, UAE.

"Through our ATP agreement with CAE, and as part of our world-class service and support offering, we continue to provide pilot and maintenance training to our customers closer to their base of operation," said Leon Botteron, General Manager, Aircraft Training, Bombardier Aerospace. "We are adding this FFS to the largest Bombardier ATP network, with the largest and broadest fleet worldwide, ensuring that operators have easy access to high-quality instruction and simulation as well as customer service," said Jeff Roberts, CAE Group President, Civil Simulation Products, Training and Services.

CAE is Bombardier's Authorized Training Provider (ATP) for pilot and maintenance training for all Bombardier business jets in Europe. CAE offers training for the Challenger 300(i) and Challenger 604 aircraft in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as well as the Learjet 40(i), Learjet 45(i), Global Express(i), Global Express XRS(i), and Global 5000(i) aircraft in the UK.

CAE is also Bombardier's worldwide Authorized Training Provider for Global 6000(i) (equipped with the Bombardier Vision(i) flight deck), Global 7000(i), Global 8000(i) business jets. It is also its Authorized Training Provider for the Challenger 604 and Challenger 605 in Dubai, UAE, and the Learjet 60(i), Learjet 60 XR(i) and Learjet 31(i) in Dallas, Texas.
