ATP Opens Tampa Flight Training Center

ATP's new Tampa-area Flight Training Center will open on May 4 at St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport (KPIE) adjacent to the Signature FBO. The new training center will offer single- and multi-engine flight training from Private thru ATP, including ATP’s Airline Career Pilot Program.

“We’ve received an overwhelmingly positive response to the Tampa location,” said Jim Koziarski, ATP’s Vice President of Flight Operations. “We look forward to providing the high quality, cost-effective training that ATP is known for.”

Chris Poulos, a Tampa resident who begins the Airline Career Pilot Program at ATP Tampa in May was thrilled to find out about the new location. “I had already made the decision to come to ATP based on cost, time frame, and reputation, but it made my decision that much easier when I found out that ATP would be opening here,” said Chris. “Since I work here, and my family is in Tampa, it’s great to be able to stay close.”

ATP is opening at least 5 new flight training centers in 2009 to make low-cost multi-engine flight training accessible to more pilots, and to hire more CFIs from the Airline Career Pilot Program. San Diego opened in February, and Charlotte is scheduled to open in May. Other flight training centers are planned for Indianapolis and Oakland.
