World Airways To Operate Boeing 747-400 Freighter For Emirates SkyCargo

Aircraft Will Fly Between Mid-East, Europe, And South America

World Airways, a subsidiary of Global Aviation Holdings, has reached an agreement with Emirates SkyCargo to operate one Boeing 747-400 freighter on a full-time basis beginning this month. Under the agreement, World will provide scheduled services linking Dubai with Frankfurt and Sao Paulo twice a week, with an additional weekly round-trip flight between Dubai and Frankfurt.

"World Airways is proud to provide Emirates with our newest Boeing 747-400 freighter service on this important trade lane," said Brian Bauer, Chief Commercial Officer. "Emirates is an industry leader in international cargo and passenger service, and we look forward to excellent cooperation between our two companies."

"Since Emirates SkyCargo commenced our twice weekly freighter services to Sao Paulo six months ago, we have facilitated the growth in trade between South America and the Middle East," said Ram Menen, Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President Cargo, of the 34 percent growth in Brazilian exports to the Arab nations in 2010. "This latest addition to our modern fleet will enable this trade to continue to flourish."
