The NTSB has issued a formal apology and is blaming a summer intern who "acted outside the scope of his authority" in confirming an erroneous release of fictitious names of the pilots of the downed Asiana Flight 214. The names - released to, and reported by dozens of media outlets nationwide - NOT including ANN - were not only erroneous, but sophomoric and laden with racist overtones.
