Bell 412EPI at Thai Army's Aviation Day

Event Held Earlier This Month At The Royal Thai Army Aviation Center

Bell Helicopter participated in the Royal Thai Army’s (RTA) Aviation Day held June 14 at Sa Phan Nak Aero, Royal Thai Army Aviation Center, Lopburi, Thailand.

“The Bell 412EPI continues to attract customers worldwide with increased engine performance and state-of-the-art integrated glass avionics suite,” said Sameer A. Rehman, Bell Helicopter’s managing director of Asia Pacific. “We enjoyed speaking with attendees during RTA Aviation Day about the Bell 412EPI’s versatility that allows consistent performance in tough environments, but also provides smooth and efficient travel.”

RTA Aviation Day commemorates the heroism of Lt. Chuchat Waneeson and also serves as a day to jointly organize charitable activities and commemorate deceased officers of Royal Thai Army Aviation.

“In addition to our industry leading support, Bell Helicopter continues to develop creative solutions for our Thai customers for aircraft upgrades, equipment refurbishment and overhaul, and solutions to lower direct operating costs,” said Mike Reagan, Bell Helicopter’s director of Global Services.

The Bell 412EPI improves the Bell 412 platform with the Bell BasiX Pro fully integrated glass flight deck, providing critical flight information at-a-glance for greater situational awareness and safety. The Bell BasiX Pro system is specifically designed to meet the requirements of twin-engine helicopters and is optimized for IFR, Category A and JAR OPS3 compliant operations. The avionics suite also includes high resolution digital maps, electronic charts and approach plates, ADS-B transponder and optional HTAWS and XM satellite links. The Bell 412EPI features the BLR Strake and FastFin® system, which modifies the tailboom to optimize airflow and improve handling, safety and lift. The Bell 412EPI also incorporates the power of Pratt & Whitney's PT6T-9 Twin Pac engines, providing 15 percent more horsepower than the standard Bell 412.

Every Bell Helicopter is backed by the largest support network in the industry with over one hundred Authorized Customer Service Facilities located around the world. Ranked number one by customers for 22 consecutive years in the Helicopter Product Support Survey from Professional Pilot Magazine, Bell Helicopter has also earned top honors in Vertical Magazine’s first-ever comprehensive helicopter manufacturer’s survey. Bell Helicopter is committed to having resources where customers operate to speed up delivery of service and support, and give customers access to service professionals that are easy to reach, know the operating environment and understand their needs.
